Goldin's Big Saturday: The 5 Biggest Cards From Monthly Sports Elite #9

A Kimi Antonelli SuperFractor, a Brady Championship Ticket, a Kobe/LeBron/Jordan triple auto, an SGA Logoman and the only Mahomes Shield auto went for $3,483,118 combined, and every one of them earned it.

The ice cream shop that makes money when it's cold

28 Wishes sells ice cream in Los Angeles. Below 70°F, sales fall about 20%. The weather is out of their hands. Rent isn't.

So the owners started putting about $20 a day into Kalshi weather markets, taking the cold side. The days that keep customers away now pay something back.

This is hedging. Big companies have done it for decades, buying protection against bad weather, fuel spikes and rising rates. It used to take a broker, a trading desk, and an order size no corner shop could meet.

Kalshi opens it up. Contracts on weather, fuel prices, inflation, tariffs and regulation, starting at a few dollars. Take a position on the outcome that would hurt you. If it hits, the payout softens it. If it doesn't, the contract expires and the good month was the point.

Goldin's 2026 Monthly Sports Elite #9 started closing at 10:30 PM ET on Saturday, Oct. 17, and extended bidding ran past 1:45 AM on Sunday. When it was over, five cards had sold for more than half a million dollars each. Here's the countdown. Every Saturday price is Goldin's final, which includes its 22% buyer's premium, with the winning bid shown next to it.

#5: Patrick Mahomes, 2025 Panini Authentically Mahomes Shield Autograph 1/1 ($500,218)

2025 Panini Authentically Mahomes Shield Autograph 1/1

Image: Goldin

  • Final: $500,218 ($410,015 winning bid, 8 bids)

  • Closed: Sat, Oct. 17, 10:56 PM ET

  • Condition: Panini Encased (not graded)

  • Then vs. now: No direct comp. This 1/1 has no prior public sale. The top Mahomes 1/1 on record is a different card, the 2017 National Treasures Platinum NFL Shield rookie patch auto 1/1 (BGS 8.5), which sold privately for $4.3 million in July 2021. Saturday's price is about 12% of that, but they are different cards, so this isn't a value change.

Goldin's listing bills this as "the only Mahomes game-used NFL Shield autograph patch card ever made." It pairs an on-card blue-ink signature with a multicolored game-used NFL Shield patch, and Goldin calls it the most significant Mahomes card released since his 2017 rookie year. It drew only 8 bids, which tells you how few people can play at this level. Goldin also notes scuffs on the Panini holder, though the card inside is unaffected. With no public comp for this one-and-only card, this sale now sets the mark.

#4: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, 2024-25 Panini Flawless Logoman Autographs 1/1 ($579,500)

2024-25 Panini Flawless Logoman Autographs SGA 1/1

Image: Goldin

  • Final: $579,500 ($475,000 winning bid, 33 bids)

  • Closed: Sat, Oct. 17, 11:19 PM ET

  • Grade: PSA 9, auto PSA/DNA 10

  • Then vs. now (closest equivalent, different card): The 2019-20 Flawless SGA Logoman auto 1/1 (PSA Authentic) sold at Goldin for $577,306 on March 15, 2026. Saturday's $579,500 is up 0.4% about 7 months later. This exact card has no prior public sale.

According to Goldin, the patch was worn on Oct. 30, 2024, in OKC's win over the Spurs, early in SGA's first MVP season and the Thunder's title run. The benchmark to watch was a 2019-20 Flawless SGA Logoman 1/1 that sold at Goldin for $577,306 in March, which Sports Collectors Digest called an all-time high for any SGA card. Saturday's price tops it by $2,194. Card Ladder data cited by SI has SGA cards up more than 250% since the start of 2024.

#3: Kobe Bryant / LeBron James / Michael Jordan, 2007-08 Upper Deck Black Autographs Triple #15/15 ($671,000)

2007-08 UD Black Triple Autographs Kobe/LeBron/Jordan

Image: Goldin

  • Final: $671,000 ($550,000 winning bid, 34 bids)

  • Closed: Sat, Oct. 17, 10:30 PM ET

  • Grade: PSA Authentic, auto PSA/DNA 10, MBA Gold Diamond Certified

  • Then vs. now (same card, different copy and grade): Copy #11/15 in BGS 6 / auto 10 sold at Goldin for $145,200, date not shown on the archived lot page. Saturday's $671,000 is up 362%, though the grades differ. No prior sale of #15/15 was found.

Three on-card silver signatures from the three players who define modern basketball, on a card numbered to 15. Goldin points out that between them they have 10 MVPs, 15 titles and 54 All-Star selections. What The Slab's Goldin tracker ranks it the top basketball sale of the week. For context, Goldin previously sold a different copy (#11/15, BGS 6) for $145,200. That copy had a lower grade, and its sale date isn't shown, so it isn't a direct comp. It does show how far the top of this card's market has climbed.

#2: Tom Brady, 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Ticket Autograph #045/100 ($854,000)

2000 Contenders Championship Ticket Tom Brady

Image: Goldin

  • Final: $854,000 ($700,000 winning bid, 37 bids)

  • Closed: Sat, Oct. 17, 10:30 PM ET

  • Grade: PSA 8

  • Then vs. now (same copy, #045/100): This exact slab sold at Goldin for $396,000 on June 28, 2023 ($330,000 winning bid plus Goldin's 20% buyer's premium at the time, 25 bids; PSA cert 19778427, the same as Saturday's lot). It's now up 116% in about 3 years and 4 months. Another PSA 8 copy sold for $660,000 at Fanatics Collect in December 2022, and that same copy brought $630,000 in February 2026, per CardWire. Saturday's price beats it by 36%.

The Championship Ticket is the short-printed, numbered-to-100 version of Brady's iconic Contenders rookie auto. This exact slab sold at Goldin for $396,000 in June 2023, so it's up about 116% in roughly three years. A PSA 8 of a Brady rookie auto bringing $854K says the market for his best rookie cards hasn't cooled since he retired.

#1: Kimi Antonelli, 2025 Topps Chrome F1 Chrome Autographs SuperFractor 1/1 ($878,400)

2025 Topps Chrome F1 SuperFractor Kimi Antonelli 1/1

Image: Goldin

  • Final: $878,400 ($720,000 winning bid, 34 bids)

  • Closed: Sun, Oct. 18, 1:48 AM ET (extended bidding)

  • Grade: PSA 10

  • Then vs. now (closest equivalent): This SuperFractor 1/1 has no prior public sale. The Red Refractor auto /5 of the same card (#5/5, PSA 10 / auto 10) sold at Goldin for $90,890 on June 7, 2026, so the 1/1 brought 9.7 times that (+866%) four months later. The previous Antonelli high, a non-auto Red Refractor #2/5 in PSA 10, sold for $360,510 on Sept. 20. Saturday's sale is 144% above it.

Yes, an F1 rookie card beat Tom Brady. Goldin calls it the highest public sale for any Antonelli card, more than doubling his previous high, a $360,510 Red Refractor /5 from September. It's a 1/1 SuperFractor rookie auto of the Mercedes driver in a PSA 10, about as good as a modern chase card gets, and it took more than three hours of extended bidding to settle.

The takeaway

Look at the list: two modern 1/1s (Antonelli, Mahomes), a modern Logoman 1/1 (SGA), and two cards from the 2000s with built-in scarcity (Brady /100, the triple /15). The money is going to true one-of-ones and tiny print runs, and grade matters less when a card is unique or historic. That's how a PSA 8 Brady and a PSA Authentic triple both cleared $650K. The other story is F1. Topps Chrome F1 now has a card selling for more than an all-time QB's rookie ticket, and it's a sign that racing cards have joined the top tier of the hobby. Which of these five would you have bid on?
