The badges are retired and the preorder windows are opening. Here's what mattered most from four days at the Javits

NYCC 2026 (Oct. 8–11) is in the books, and the first post-show preorders are live. Here's what matters most for your shelves and resale plans. Anything unconfirmed is marked.

Comics

Spider-Man: Noir #1, cover by Stephen Mooney (Marvel), out Feb. 10, 2027.

DC's Absolute line finally gets its team-up. Absolute Justice is a five-issue, no-tie-in event from Jason Aaron and Juan Ferreyra starting April 2027. Cliff Chiang draws Absolute Batman #26 in January. Expect heavy variant attention on that #1.

More from DC: Black Label has Jason Aaron and Tirso's five-issue Green Lantern: The Dying of the Light, with an aged Hal Jordan in prison (Comics Beat says a March launch). At the Next Level panel, Alyssa Wong and Belén Ortega's Starfire ongoing was set for April 2027, and a Superboy-Prime Special #1 was teased. Its creative team is unconfirmed, because Comics Beat and AIPT disagree.

Marvel's new EIC, Stephen Wacker, came out swinging:

• Avengers #1 (Zdarsky/Checchetto, Nov. 4, $5.99), with Miracleman on the team.

• Magneto: End of Days (Bendis/Sorrentino), an eight-issue prestige series in February.

• Daredevil #700 in March, plus a first appearance: Latch debuts in Daredevil #11 (Jan. 13).

• Crisis of Faith, a Peter vs. Miles crossover, in April, plus Spider-Man: Noir #1 (Feb. 10).

Elsewhere:

• Dark Horse and Mattel's first Barbie book, the six-issue Barbie: Together in Time (Ben Kahn/Natalie Nardozza), launches Feb. 10, 2027, at $4.99.

• Naruto: Shadow Rising is a new manga that Masashi Kishimoto is drawing himself. Details come at Jump Festa on Dec. 19–20.

Star Wars

The Black Series Zam Wesell (Hasbro), preorders Oct. 29 at 1 PM ET.

Star Wars | Marvel: Hope Assembles (Kevin Smith/David Marquez) launches in January and has grown to six issues, with new Alex Ross, Kaare Andrews and Dan Jurgens variants.

On the toy side:

• Agen Kolar, Saesee Tiin and Zam Wesell are all Black Series firsts. Preorders open Oct. 29 at 1 PM ET, shipping spring 2027.

• The VHS-style Saga Edition Multipack preorders Oct. 15.

• The Razor Crest Encounter 3-pack preorders Oct. 22.

None of the new items have prices yet.

Toys & Figures

Marvel Legends Avengers: Doomsday Nightcrawler (Hasbro), preorders Oct. 14 at 1 PM ET.

Prices are in for the first post-show preorders, which went live Oct. 13:

• Transformers Studio Series (February 2027): Leaders $59.99 (86 Swoop, TLK Megatron), Voyagers $42.99 (2007 Ironhide and Ratchet), and Deluxes $29.99 (Allicon, Wheelie, Jazz, ONE Shockwave).

• G.I. Joe Classified's NYCC wave (Flatline, Hardball, Daina, H.E.A.T. Viper, and Shipwreck & Althea) is about $30 per figure for early 2027.

Hasbro Marvel: the Doomsday Lord Doom, Nightcrawler and Beast wave preorders Oct. 14, and X-Men '97 follows Oct. 21.

Mattel's DC Collector line opened with a $100 Hush Rooftop Bat-Signal Diorama. The 6.5-inch DC Legacy Collection follows in January.

Absolute Batman 7" McFarlane Elite Edition (McFarlane Toys), $49.99, preorder now, ships November.

McFarlane's Absolute send-off. McFarlane's panel showed resin statues of Absolute Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Joker and Bane, with no sizes, prices or dates (ToyNewsI). The 7-inch Absolute Batman Elite Edition ($49.99) is on preorder at McFarlane's store, shipping November. A DC Multiverse Absolute wave (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Deathstroke) leaked through EB Games Canada listings at $34.99 each, but McFarlane hasn't announced it and it wasn't mentioned at the panel (unconfirmed). ToyNewsI says Todd McFarlane put the end of his DC run at the close of 2026, with Mattel taking over Jan. 1. That's reported; we haven't seen a formal statement.

Trading Cards

Darkhold Destiny key art by Magali Villeneuve (Wizards of the Coast/Marvel).

On the Floor: Sellouts and Flips

• Midnight Spider-Man #2: the free panel copies resold mostly around $80, up to $100, according to Bleeding Cool. The book retails Nov. 18 at $4.99.

• NECA: the $45 8-inch clothed Batman and the $25 Ben Cooper glow-in-the-dark Mummy con exclusives are sold out. The $59.99 blue Ultimate Big Bird is still in stock, but NECA lists fewer than 50 left.

• ULTRAMAN Legacy Collection: popmarket's 100-unit NYCC edition ($150) has exclusive art that the 3,000-unit Amazon release ($149.99) lacks, so the booth copy is the one to hunt.
